Small Business Development Center Day

On Wednesday, March 22, we celebrated the first national SBDC Day.  The San Antonio Small Business Development Center joined almost 1000 SBDC offices in 47 states to share the work and mission of America’s SBDC Network.  We had over 50 entrepreneurs join us at our San Antonio field office for workshops covering multi-generational marketing and social media management.  We had a dozen small business owners from Comal and Guadalupe counties learning about writing Business Plans at our satellite office in New Braunfels.  15 people joined us for a startup workshop in Pleasanton, demonstrating the energy coming out of Atascosa county.

Our specialty centers joined in the festivities.  The UTSA Procurement Technical Assistance Center (PTAC) and International Trade Center (ITC) co-hosted a table sharing their services with visitors to the building.  PTAC distributed information about upcoming workshops and opportunities for those interested in public sector contracting.  The ITC gave out brochures describing how they help small business owners stay competitive in a truly international marketplace.

Thank you to everyone who join us, in person or online, as we celebrated.  Thank you to all of our clients, patrons, and partners who support our mission. We are devoted to growing the Texas economy, one business at a time.
