Do you need help setting up the program or just need some help using it well?
If you answered “yes” to any of these questions, you may want to host an accounting student from UTSA to help you with operating QuickBooks. Businesses that are selected will have 1 or 2 students assigned to come to their business to help with QuickBooks. There is no charge for this assistance. You only need to provide feedback at the completion of the program. The program is offered every year at the beginning of the spring and fall semester and runs through the end of each term.Remember, these are students who will be learning from you as well as you learning from them. They are not CPAs, and as such, cannot offer legal or tax advice. However, they can help you work through the QuickBooks accounting software.
The San Antonio Small Business Development Center (SBDC) and UTSA’s College of Business are offering this opportunity for businesses already using QuickBooks. (The SBDC offers workshops on learning QuickBooks) Please look through our class schedule to see when our next classes are being offered. Senior accounting majors are participating in a Special Studies in Accounting Consultation. They are nearing the completion of classroom study and are looking for real life experience working with a small business. The students will provide technical assistance and training for your businesses. Businesses outside of Bexar County may be able to participate if they can provide remote access to their computers or meet their students within Bexar County.
